Anand Asundi (安顺泰) has over 40 years of experience in the field of Optical Engineering, Photomechanics and Optical NDT. He got his PhD from Stony Brook University and was research fellow at Virginia Tech. He held the position of Reader(Professor) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He has published over 450 SCI indexed papers in top tier 1 journals and presented numerous plenary talks at international conference. He was Editor of Optics and Lasers in Engineering (IF = 3.38) for over 20 years. He was founding Director of the Centre for Optical and Laser Engineering, NTU and founding Chairman of Optics and Photonics Society of Singapore. He has organized many industrial workshops and short courses. He is Fellow of SPIE and was fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. He has many patents and three spin-off companies – the current one is d’Optron Pte Ltd. He has co-chaired or chaired numerous conference in Asia, USA and Europe.
